Our goal remains to provide an introductory text for senior‐level soil chemistry students. This requires compromise on depth of explanation of the topics so that the main points are not lost on students, while providing sufficient information for explanation. The textbook’s focus is on species and reaction processes of chemicals in soils, with applications to environmental and agricultural issues. Topics in the 13 chapters range from discussion of fundamental chemical processes to review of properties and reactions of chemicals in the environment. |
